The weekend kinda felt weird because of the July 4th holiday sandwiched in the middle. I had a massage on Friday and subbed for Body Attack on Friday night which I normally have off for *happy hour*. And so Saturday felt like a Friday and Sunday felt like a Saturday....whaaa???
We saw The Amazing Spider Man on Saturday ---- it was only *so-so*.
I don't really like "comic" movies and I thought some scenes were kinda cheesy but I do have to say that the story was better that the other Spider Man movies.
I was starving by the time we got home. It was a good thing I had dinner
I made Black Bean and Salmon Tostada from HERE
Hubby and I dined al fresca....although it was quite warm outside on the porch even at 6:00 pm.
And for dessert, I made Strawberry Shortcake. I used THIS recipe to make the shortcake/scone. Then I cut up the strawberries, used fat free whipped cream and drizzled Agave syrup on top. It was yummy!!!!

Sunday - See Jane Run HM
My strategy is to give my legs a rest from running this week before my half-marathon on Sunday. Whether that's gonna help my time ---- probably NOT. But at least I know my legs will be fresh. I hope the weather is nice in Seattle, too. Last year, it drizzled during the race.

Strawberry shortcake is such a perfect summertime dessert. Good luck with the half! I'm not running as many races this year (but I do have a 3.5 mile race this Thursday) and I'm thinking of signing up for another half too!
